Loveboy and his imaginary friends are something out of the ordinary:
a band partly fictional. kinda like the gorillaz, but funnier and more real. a cactus on the bass, a dead dolphin on the keys, a wildcat on the drums and a human at the front.
during live shows people are invited into a weird world where logic no longer makes sense.
Hitting my late 20s, i faced the scheduled quarter-life-crisis. With no plan how to face it, i tried to run away and escaped into my fantasy where i reconnected with my imaginary childhood friends.
After some adventures together, the four of us decided to start a band. we would write songs about our imaginary journeys and fantasies, and then return to reality to spread the music amongst the humans.
And so we have played many gigs around Australia and europe.
Our music, and our shows are immersive plays. Some people even call it “A true inspiration” - how beautiful. We like to mix music styles from the 70s with contemporary bass-heavy dance music. We throw synthesizers, 808s, electric guitars and auto tune into the mix, and the result is something quite unique, FUN and colorful!
